In Kit Keeper, you can’t exactly renew a kit, but you can change the date for when it will be available again if someone needs to keep it longer.

1. This needs to be done by the library that owns the kit. Login to Kit Keeper and scroll to the “Admin – Kit Keeper Configuration” section at the bottom. Select the “Add/Modify information” next to Kits.

2. Find the title that you want to renew and click Edit. Scroll to the bottom and where it says “First date to allow reservations” enter in the date that the kit will be returned and click “Update Record.” All the days before that date will now be grayed out on the reservation calendar. This will prevent anyone else from reserving the kit while it is still being used by the borrowing library.
